School Workshops
These workshops give children the confidence to explore, question, and imagine — because thriving isn’t about answers, it’s about ideas
Acorn Studio Press was born from my own experience of learning, teaching and working with different people.
I’ve seen what happens when systems don’t give people the tools they need to adapt, and I believe we can do better for the next generation.
Our School Workshops put curiosity and kindness back at the centre of learning — showing every child that their ideas matter, and that they can face change with confidence.

Who is this project for?
Our School Workshops are designed for Year 5 children (ages 10–11), their teachers, and wider school communities.
This age group is at a crucial stage: old enough to explore big ideas, but still open and imaginative. The workshops are particularly suited to schools looking to spark curiosity, strengthen creativity, and give every child a voice — especially those who may struggle with confidence, literacy, or traditional classroom learning.
What can I expect?
Why it matters
Where is it located and when?
Too often, children feel that learning is about memorising answers. Our workshops flip that idea: they show children that their ideas count, that curiosity is a strength, and that mistakes are part of discovery. Early feedback suggests children become more engaged, teachers see stronger participation across all ability levels, and schools value the focus on kindness and creativity alongside academic skills.
By bringing curiosity missions into the classroom, we are helping children develop the resilience, creativity, and confidence they need to thrive in a world that keeps changing.
Our first School Workshops are taking place during 2025 in a select group of partner schools. These pilots will inform wider rollout across the UK from 2026. Workshops are delivered on-site in classrooms, either by our facilitators or, in time, through teacher-led packs supported by our training. Future plans include optional digital extras, allowing schools everywhere to join in.
Each workshop is a hands-on curiosity mission, built around storytelling, exploration, and creative problem-solving. Children work in small teams to tackle playful challenges that blend imagination with real-world thinking. They draw, design, question, and experiment — discovering that learning is not about “getting it right” but about having the courage to try, to share, and to explore together.
Workshops are delivered directly in classrooms by Acorn Studio Press facilitators (all with full DBS certification), who participate alongside children to model curiosity and creativity. Teachers are also supported with ready-to-use packs and guidance notes, making it easy to continue the activities beyond the workshop day.
