We want you to enjoy your Acorn products. This policy explains when you can cancel an order, return an item, or receive a refund. It works alongside our Conditions of Sale and Subscription Terms.

1. Cooling-Off Period

• For your first subscription sign-up, you have 14 days from placing your order to change your mind.

• If your pack has not been dispatched, we will refund you in full.

• If your pack has already been dispatched, you may still cancel, but refunds will depend on the condition of the returned pack (see below).

2. Subscriptions (Acorn Explorers)

• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time — there are no penalties.

• If a pack has already been dispatched and is made to order, it is not refundable if opened, worked in, or otherwise unfit for resale.

• If the pack is unopened and resaleable, you may return it within 30 days of receipt for a refund of the product price.

• If you’re unsure whether a subscription is right for you, we recommend our Try-Before-You-Buy (TBYB) or standalone items first.

3. Books and Non-Subscription Products (Acorn Stories)

• Books and non-custom items may be returned if unused and resaleable within 30 days of receipt.

• Refunds will not be issued for items that are damaged, used, or not in resaleable condition.

4. Pathways Products (Schools, Hospitals, Funded Channels)

• Acorn Pathways packs are not consumer sales.

• These items have a nominal returns value of £0.00001 and cannot be returned for refund.

5. Faulty or Misdescribed Items

• If a product is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair under UK consumer law.

• Please contact us immediately at hello@acornstudiopress.com with your order details and photos if applicable.

6. How to Return an Item

1. Email us at hello@acornstudiopress.com with your order number and reason for return.

2. We will confirm the return address and instructions.

3. You are responsible for return postage unless the product is faulty.

4. Please keep proof of postage until we confirm receipt.

7. Refunds

• Refunds are processed within 14 days of us receiving your returned item.

• Refunds are made to the original payment method only.

• Shipping costs are non-refundable except where the product is faulty or misdescribed.
