What's Worth It?

"In a fragmented world, value has to work harder."
A great line from a recent post by Vinay Ahuja at P&G on how consumer value has shifted from price to "worth it." Thanks Vinay Ahuja.

It really resonated.

What struck me is how closely this mirrors something more fundamental: how people develop judgement.

The ability to assess value - what's worth time, effort, or money - isn't just a calculation. It's a capability. And it's built over time, through experience.

That feels particularly relevant when we think about children.
In a world of increasing choice, complexity, and AI-mediated decisions, the question isn't just: how do we help children make better choices?

But how do we help them develop the capacity to judge what's "worth it" in the first place?

Because if value is no longer obvious, the ability to interpret it becomes critical.

That idea sits at the heart of what we're exploring at
Acorn Studio Press, using narrative and immersive exploratory learning to help children build curiosity, judgement, and independent thinking.

Not just to navigate the world as it is today. But to make sense of what comes next.
