Still not sure?

Most children don't fit neatly into an age bracket.
Some nine-year-olds are ready for Investigator.
Some eleven-year-olds still prefer Adventurer.

Choose the edition that feels exciting rather than overwhelming. Children can always move between editions as their confidence grows.
